Agnes Standen

Agnes Standen, 79 of Oklahoma City went to be with the love of her life Elmer on January 20, 2013. She passed away at home surrounded by her family. She was born October 7, 1933 to frank and amber Kanthack in Alpena, Michigan. On June 29, 1956 she married Elmer Standen. Agnes had a love for children not just her biological grandchildren. In 1982 she moved from Michigan to Oklahoma City where she became "the grandma" to many many children up until 2011. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmer and her sister, Mary Mathison. She is survived by (2) daughters Tina Standen, Peggy (Alan) Steinke of Oklahoma city; (1) son Gary (Patricia) Standen, of Clare, Michigan. She leaves (5) grandchildren Alisha Standen, Melissa (Michael) Schunk, Travis Stelzer, Craig Standen, and Ana Stockwell. Visitation is Wednesday, January 23 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Corbett Funeral Service with funeral services Thursday, January 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the Resurrection Free Methodist Church with interment at the Bethany cemetery.
