The Life of Albert Lee Brown
aka A.B.
Albert Lee Brown (aka A.B., Doc, Brown, Pops, and Pawpaw) was born on July 1, 1947 in Cooper, Texas to Jesse and Jo Ella Brown, Jr. He was raised in the church and was a follower of the word and believer in Christ. He attended Booker T. Washington in Hugo, Oklahoma where we was drafted into the United States Marine Corp in October of 1967. He received his GED and served many tours including a Vietnam tour from 1967 to 1969 where he received the following commendations: Nation Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/1*, and Vietnam Campaign Medal before he was honorably discharged in July 1973.
On April 18, 1976 he married Ruth Lauretta Seward in Hugo, Oklahoma and they began their married life together by moving to Oklahoma City where they made a home with their children.
He worked for Metro Transit in Oklahoma City as a Diesel Mechanic, as well as he owned “the shop” where he worked on his friends and family’s automobiles. He was a jack of all trades...
