Oklahoma City

Andrew Ray Perrin, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024, in his hometown of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 79. Born on March 7, 1945, Andrew was a cherished son to Waldo Austin and Rosalie Edith Perrin, who preceded him in death, and he carried the warmth of their love throughout his life.

For 32 dedicated years, Andrew proudly served as a machinist at Balon Corporation, where his work ethic, precision, and commitment to quality earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. He approached each task with a sense of pride, reflecting his passion for craftsmanship and his desire to contribute to a job well done.

Beyond his professional life, Andrew was an adventurous spirit who embraced the great outdoors. He spent many joyful hours scuba diving, where he not only explored the depths of beautiful waters but also became a diving instructor and dive master, sharing his love for the underwater world with others. His adventures took him to Lake Tenkiller and the vibrant aquatic locales of Mexico, enriching his life with experiences that he fondly remembered. An avid outdoorsman, he was also a longtime member of the Oklahoma City Gun Club, where his enjoyment of hunting and fishing flourished.

Andrew's greatest joy came from traveling with his beloved wife, Diana Rae (Brashear) Perrin. Together, they created a tapestry of beautiful memories, especially during their trips to the lush landscapes of Alaska and the sunny shores of Hawaii. These adventures reflected the essence of their partnership—one filled with love, laughter, and exploration.

As a proud father, Andrew instilled in his sons—Andrew Ray Perrin Jr., James Austin Perrin, and Chad Wesley Perrin—the values of hard work and passion for the outdoors. He found immense satisfaction in watching them grow, supporting them in their endeavors, and celebrating their achievements. His love extended further as he embraced his role as a grandfather to Austin, Hunter, and Wyatt Perrin, who will carry on his legacy with fond memories of their time together.

Andrew is also survived by his sister, Dee Brown, of Monterville, WV, whose bond was treasured dearly. His family and friends will forever cherish the countless stories, laughter, and love that he shared throughout his life.

In celebrating Andrew Ray Perrin’s life, we remember a man whose humanity, dedication, and adventurous spirit left an indelible mark on all who had the blessing of knowing him. He will be profoundly missed, yet his legacy will live on through the hearts he touched and the memories he created.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the family home on October 12, 2024 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm for family, close friends and neighbors.
