Anita Ruth Jones was born on November 13, 1945 to Stanley and Lucile Ball in Oklahoma City, OK. Anita lived in Oklahoma most of her life. She was a loving mother to her son and daughter, Scott and Kari Jones. Anita spent most of her adult life as an elementary school and art teacher and counselor for more than 20 years in the Oklahoma City public schools. After retirement, Anita worked for Home Instead as a tireless caregiver for many elderly ladies. Most recently, Anita worked for Club Z as a tutor for elementary age children. Most important is that Anita was a devoted Christian, being a member at Council Road Baptist Church, and most recently attending Southwest Baptist Church. Anita died on April 19, 2013 at the Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents Stanley G. Ball and Lucile (Ball) Sparks, her first husband, Thomas (TJ) Jones, and a step-brother Robert Sparks. Anita is survived by her son, Scott Jones and his wife Lynn of Blanchard, OK, daughter, Kari Jones of Oklahoma City, OK, five sisters Karen Johnson and her husband Gene of Edmond, OK, Renee Snay and her husband Mark of Santa Maria, CA, Pam Manning and her husband Steve of Edmond, OK, Pat Ball of Oklahoma City, OK, Tammy O'Neill and her husband Tom of Madera, CA, one brother James Sparks and his wife Joyce of Phillips Ranch, CA, one step-sister Margaret Noel and her husband Don of Lake Isabella, Ca., step-mother Joyce (Ball) Morris and her husband Neville of Haut Bay, South Africa, and many nieces and nephews.
