Anita Lee Parmer

Anita Lee Parmer April 4, 1929 – May 7, 2016 Anita Lee Parmer, Nene to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, left this world after a job well done surrounded by her family and holding hands with her beloved husband of 67 years. From her early days of home coming queen in Greenwood, Arkansas to a series of business/life adventures Nene always focused on the journey as much as the successful ending. Married to Marvin Lee Parmer on December 18, 1948 and starting their family with a daughter, Theresa born May 21, 1950 and then a son, Michael born April 27, 1953. She helped to nurture, educate, and protect her family that grew to seven grandchildren, Myki, Mandy, Matt, Mason, McClain, Justin, Michaela, plus spouses, and 11 great grandchildren. Proceeded in death by her parents Street and Bessie Boyd, stepmother Lorene Boyd, and brother Allen Boyd. Survivors include her husband Marvin, daughter Teese Mullings and her husband J.Mike, her son Michael and his wife Becky, seven grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, and many loving friends. A memorial service is planned for Monday May 16, 2016 at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Oklahoma City at 10:00am.
