Anna L. Douglas was a bright and beautiful woman born in south Oklahoma City, OK on November 10, 1935. She was the 3rd child of 8 born to Emma Lee & O. T. Douglas. She is preceded in death by her siblings Thelma Jean, Cherlene, Chauncey, Charles and her parents. At an early age she moved to the Edwards Addition, located in Oklahoma City, where she completed her education at Edwards Elementary School, Moon Jr. High and was in the first class to graduate from the newly built Douglas High School in the 1950’s. Anna was a Art History Major at the Oklahoma City University. She also attended the Chicago Institute of Art and Central State University. She was an accomplished, professional artist. Her work appeared in the published addition of "Portrait of a People". Her work can been seen in the second addition of "Portrait of a People". She has drawn over a hundred portraits of national figures, historical figures, and local Oklahomans. She was employed for the City of Oklahoma City for over 35 years. Anna influenced all of those she came into contact with. She had a world of wisdom which she freely shared with all and ended all her goodbyes with “PEACE”! She was full of joy and unconditional love. She was a strong and vibrant woman who never gave up. Anna was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, June 12th, 2012. Anna leaves behind her siblings; Larry Douglas of Aurora, CO, Bettye Douglas of Oklahoma City, OK, and Jerry (Karen) Douglas of Oklahoma City, OK as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends She will be truly missed and forever loved. We will never forget the love she shared and the joyful spirit which embodied her daily life. If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. Rom. 14:8
