Archie Leyba 76 of Blanchard Oklahoma. passed away June 26th 2019 surrounded by family and friends. He was born to parents Vivian and Emelia Leyba April 12, 1943 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He arrived in Oklahoma when he was discharged from the Air Force and a friend suggested he come to Oklahoma with him. There he met Ruby and started to put down roots. Archie has owned his own business for 54 years in the Oklahoma City area and did not understand what retirement was as he loved his work. He also loved his church and had a great love for missions. While attending Eagle Heights church he was instrumental in building a church in Quilicura, Chile and working there for many years. He married Kathie in April 2018, the great love of his life, who survives him. Archie is survived by: his first son Terry, 5 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; his second son Teddy and wife Nancy, granddaughter Kelsey and grandson Joshua and his wife Alexis; his daughter Heather and grandson Cameron; his daughter Paula, husband Alex and grandson Alicito; his very great friends of a lifetime Jean and Harold McCurley. Archie is predeceased by his parents Emelia and Vivian Leyba and sister Jenny. Archie loved working, gardening, traveling and visiting with friends and family. He rarely met a stranger and had a great sense of humor. He will be missed greatly.
