His professional career was spent in the OKC school district where he retired after many years as an elementary school principal. His wisdom will live on in all those who were influenced by this wonderful man. He is survived by wife Wilda, son Jeff Russell (spouse Mary Carol), and daughter Becky Russell Spears (spouse Stan). Granddaughters Heather Akard (spouse Kelly), Megan White (spouse Chaz) and Anna Spears. Great grandchildren Izaac, Oliver, Van, Jax and (soon to be born) Atalyn.
