Barry Stout

Barry Stout (1938-2013) John Barry Stout, 75, of Oklahoma City, passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, following a short, courageous battle with cancer. Born Aug. 22, 1938, to John Bruce and Dorothy (Dot) Louise Stout who preceded him in death, Barry grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Northwest Classen High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Oklahoma and served several years in the U.S. Army Reserve. His career in oil and gas geophysics spanned more than 50 years, and he dedicated his career to helping and advising others in a highly technical and complex industry. Early in his career, work took him to several states and countries, but Oklahoma was always home. He worked most recently for PIASA Exploration, LLC, and he was involved with the Geophysical Society of Oklahoma City.
