Benjamin James Morlan was born April 10, 2005, and died October 25, 2024. The lively details between those two dates are wonderful and cherished by his family. Ben was, and remains, the seventh born among eleven siblings. His six brothers and four sisters were his best friends.
God fashioned Benjamin together in a unique way. His quirky personality and dry humor could leave people laughing or just scratching their heads. Ben was an intelligent goofball who quietly impacted those around him. He did not make himself the center of attention but was comfortable being the sidekick and necessary comedic relief or support. Ben was a helper and very considerate of others. Ben let others go first and would not take his full portion so as to leave enough for someone else. Even in death, Ben was able to help those he did not know.
Benjamin had an infectious personality and an adventurous spirit. He loved riding motorcycles, and his father and brothers loved riding with him. Ben’s joy was enhanced when he was on two wheels. Although he was critically injured in a collision on his way home from work (which would eventually take his life), him being struck will not strike the memory of a happy young man on his motorcycle.
Ben was a respectful son and a diligent worker. He enjoyed the friendships he had with his co-workers at Chick-Fil-A where he worked for almost 4 years. Ben’s circle of connection extended to the several schools and churches he attended during his brief life on earth. Ben left his impression on many lives. In short - Benjamin was a blessing.
Ben was loved by his family but more importantly he was loved by his God. The Spirit of God granted Benjamin faith in the risen SON who had already died in Ben’s place for the payment of his sins. Ben died in Christ, was buried with Christ in baptism and because of God’s grace Ben, even now, lives in Christ. Ben’s hope was built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
Ben was preceded in death by a pre-term brother Meno, his beloved Mawmaw, and his cherished Aunt Jessica. He is survived by his grandparents Vic & Sylvia, parents Tim & Lori, his siblings: Zach, Tori, Mac, Emily, Seth, Sam, Haddon, Zoe, Izabelle, Titus and favorite brother-in-law and friend, Lucas. His nieces Naomi & Jubilee, and nephew Gideon, will dearly miss their fun Uncle Ben. His large family and numerous friends are all grieving, but Christians grieve in hope as we eagerly await the redemption of the body. Ben is absent from his body but present with his Lord. All that remains is the promised resurrection. Even so come, Lord Jesus!
