He served in World War II and upon his return entered college and graduated from Albion College in Michigan. After graduation he married his high school sweetheart, Therese Mach, on June 16, 1951. During their 63 years of marriage, they lived in New York, California, and Colorado before finally settling down in Oklahoma. Bernie is survived by his wife, 7 children, 20 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Donations made to St. John the Baptist Samaritan House would be appreciated (405-216-7554). A Rosary service will be held Thursday August 21st at & 7:30 p.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 22nd at 10:30m a.m. both at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond.
