Betty Ethel Glenn passed away quietly on Tuesday, September 25, 2012. She was born in Grenola, Kansas to Earl and Jessie Bassham on December 5, 1931. Betty married Ralph Glenn on October 6, 1947 where they resided in Ellinwood, Kansas for 28 years. Betty was a homemaker for most of her life she spent many years in volunteer service with the southern Baptist convention at the Glorieta Baptist Conference Center in New Mexico, the Baptist Seminary in Ruschelcon, Switzerland, the Valley Baptist Retreat in Mission, Texas and in Honolulu, Lihue, Waianae, and Eleele, Hawaii. In recent years, she resided in Edmond Oklahoma where she was an active member at the Highland Park Baptist Church for the last 16 years. Betty was an avid Oklahoma sports fan having developed a love for college athletics later in life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph. She is survived by three daughters, Donna Bertsch of Sanger, Texas, Jackie Sharpe and husband, Bruce of Tulsa, Lesa Hale and husband, Ken of Norman; and one son, Stephen and wife, Lisa of Garden City, Kansas; as well as foster daughter, Hae Won Souza of Calabasas, California; 13 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Louise Stanley and Wilma Jean McClanahan.
