Betty Lou Heiliger, 81 was called home to be with Jesus Sunday, June 30th, 2019. She was born May 4th, 1938 in Oklahoma City, OK where she lived, raised her family and worked until she retired. She spent the last 5 years living with her sons in Tulsa and in Edmond. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Lola Mae and Harold Clay Pritner. She had a happy childhood with her siblings Linda Hines and Rola Pritner in Oklahoma City where she attended Central High School. She was married and had two boys. Raising and loving the boys made Betty very happy. She was active in Junior Hospitality and cherished those memories. She obtained her nursing home administrator’s license and worked for 30 years loving and caring for the elderly and her friends. To this day, her work friends were cherished and remained close. Betty’s greatest joy in life was loving her sons and their families especially her grandchildren. Not only was she a special mother, but a true friend as a mother-in law. The word “Grandma” described Betty with the love and joy she brought to our lives. She loved to shop and was a generous gift giver. Christmas was one of her favorite times of the year. She was a great cook and loved to make sure her kitchen was filled with everyone’s favorite goodies and she loved to cook Saturday morning breakfast. Going to the lake house with her family brought her great joy and memories. Betty will be treasured in the hearts of her sons Larry Joseph and his wife Rona Heiliger, Edmond; Philip Ray and his wife Cathy Heiliger, Tulsa. Her grandchildren include Ashlee and her husband Avery Craddock and their daughter Peyton, Tulsa; Natalie Heiliger, Tulsa; Emily Heiliger, Tulsa and her grandson, Zachary and his wife Michelle and their sons Caden and Carter Heiliger, Nederland, CO. She will live in our hearts forever!
