Betty Lee Mackey (Leighton) was born February 21, 1951 in Fort Cobb, OK to Richard and Ruby Leighton. Betty married the love of her life, Burl Edward Mackey on May 31, 1970 in Fort Cobb, OK. Betty committed her life to the Lord, faithfully serving as a stay at home mom and pastor’s wife. Most recently, Betty served along side her husband Burl as associate house parents at Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children in Oklahoma City. Betty’s passions in life were her Lord, her husband, and her family. Betty went to be in the healing arms of her Savior on Sunday, December 4, 2016. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Burl Mackey; father and mother, Richard and Ruby Leighton; and brother, Richard Leighton Jr. Betty is survived by her daughter Kathy Raffety and husband, James, of Gordonville, TX; son Greg Mackey and wife, Valerie, of Albuquerque, NM; son Mark Mackey and wife, Shannon, of Choctaw, OK; and daughter Natalie Bergstrasser and husband, Michael, of Oklahoma City, OK; two grandsons, Jacob and Jackson Raffety of Gordonville, and six granddaughters, Katie Raffety of Gordonville, Adeline and Allie Mackey of Choctaw, Noelle Mackey of Albuquerque, and two granddaughters of Oklahoma City; brother Neil Leighton and wife, Betty, of Mountain View, OK, and a host of other family and friends. Funeral Service for Betty is Friday, December 9, 2016 @ 10:00am at the Choctaw road Baptist Church (14971 E Reno Ave. Choctaw, OK 73020) Public Viewing will be from 9-5pm Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Corbett Funeral & Cremation (807 West Wilshire, OKC OK, 73116)
