Billy Joe Estep

Billy Joe Estep "Bill" passed away at the age of 87 on June 20, 2011. He was born in Burkburnett, TX Oct. 5, 1923 to Earl and Helen Estep. After surviving in WWII, he graduated from OU where he was associated with the OU basketball team from 1946-1950. He was an avid golfer and a former member f the Oak Tree Golf Club. He was a member of the "O" club and served on the Woodward School Board. He was employed by Phillips Petroleum Co. in 1951 and was transferred to the Kansas City area in 1974 and retired in 1985. Bill returned to OKC on July 9, 2010 to be with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert Estep. Bill is survived by his wife of 62 years Patricia, his daughter; Susan Lillard of OKC, his son; Thomas Estep & wife Kris of Woodward, OK, his grandchildren; Lori Bishop & husband Trent of Louisville, TX, Kyle & wife Michele Estep of Woodward, OK, his great granddaughter; Hailey Bishop, his niece; Jan Sims & husband David of Burneyville, OK, and nephews; Doug & Rick of OKC. A memorial service will be held at the Life Church Edmond Campus (I-35 & 2nd St.) in the chapel on Friday, June 24, 2011 @ 10:00 am.
