Billy Holcomb

d. April 9, 2009

Billy Dale Holcomb was born October 13, 1948, in Oklahoma City to Bill and Etta Jo Holcomb, and passed away into the arms of his Lord and Savior on April 9, 2009. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1967 and began his lifelong career as a plumbing, heating and air contractor at Bee Line Plumbing, and later established his own company, Billy Holcomb Mechanical. Billy was passionate about many things, but most of all, he was passionate about his children, grandchildren, friends, golf and OU sports. Billy and his family are sincerely grateful for the extra 14-plus years of life he was given when he received a liver transplant. Billy is survived by his loving wife, Susan Holcomb son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Michelle Holcomb daughter, Chelsea Holcomb brothers, Alan and sister-in-law, Gail Holcomb, Randy Holcomb sister, Nancy Wood 4 grandchildren, Hannah, Blythe, Raemy and Joli nieces, Allison, Jodi and Cori and nephews, Brett and Timothy aunt and uncle, Roland and Ann Bacon aunt, Jean Hardy and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Stacy Meeker. Billy had many special lifelong friends, a host of golf buddies, and other friends whom he loved dearly. Our Billy was a loving, generous man who loved to help others. Due to the selfless act of a loving family, our Billy was given the gift of life through organ donation on June 6, 1994. Had it not been for this most precious gift, he would not have been able to see his daughter, Chelsea, grow up and graduate from Texas Tech, see his son marry and have children of his own, and experience the great joy he had with his grandchildren, family and friends. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Dr. Sebastian, Dr. Kanagala and his nurses at Integris Baptist Hospital. His prayer would be that all would please consider organ donation so that others could be given a second chance. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Billy Holcomb will be held at 2p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, at Northwest Baptist Church at 3030 NW 23rd Street. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that all donations be made to the Western Club Foundation, 5207 N. Western, OKC 73118.
