Bradford "BJ" Kernaghan

Bradford J “BJ” Kernaghan, 50, left his life peacefully on July 20th, 2012.  He was born on October 30, 1961 in Oklahoma City.  Brad attended schools in OKC, Carnegie, Duncan and the University of Oklahoma.  Brad served proudly in the United States Navy as an ariel photographer and then enjoyed serving the public for many years as an USPS mail carrier and union steward. Brad is survived by his father Eugene Kernaghan (Dorothy); mother Grace Arismendez Blackmon (Donald); brother Vincent Kernaghan; sister  Suzanne Garvey (Jeff) and their children Jessica and Jacob Garvey; step-sisters Helen Martin (Quinn) and Georgia Myers and step-niece Ande Zervas. Brad had a sweet, gentle and playful soul. Although his strong personality and personal convictions sometimes caught people off guard, Brad was a man of integrity.  When he believed in something, he would not waiver from his personal convictions. BJ’s special friends were Christy Jay and Lance.  The family wants to thank his caregivers Shanell, Trish M and Brenda.
