Britain Andrel Beezley, 83, left this world on March 22, 2015. He was born to the late Lee and Peggy Beezley in Guthrie, OK on February 15, 1932. He graduated from Central High School and worked over 30 years at Southwestern Bell Company (AT&T). Britain lived with a passion for his interests. An avid bridge player, Britain competed regularly in tournaments not just in Oklahoma City but all across the country. He specialized in duplicate bridge, a form of contract bridge. Britain also served as a board member for the American Contract Bridge League's Unit #167 in Oklahoma City. Dedicated until the end, he played his final game of bridge on March 14, 2015. One of Britain’s hobbies was collecting. He amassed an extensive collection of stamps that he meticulously maintained. Britain additionally collected all sorts of books including the latest best sellers, rare collectibles, comics, science fiction, and history. He maintained a small bookstore called OklaBooks and often set up shop before and after bridge tournaments. Britain is survived by 9 children: Pati and husband Jeff; Jim and wife Paula, Andy and wife Sharon; Steve and wife Sandy; Mike and wife Julie; Janice and husband Scott; Susan; Mary Elyzabeth; and Melissa and husband John. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
