Carolyn A. Goode, 70, of Oklahoma City, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 21st. Born in Tyler, TX, she was a faithful graduate of the University of Texas and the University of Central Oklahoma. She devoted her life to helping others through mental health and education. Carol touched the lives of hundreds of people throughout her life and never met a stranger. She was one of the most caring and compassionate individuals, and those lucky to have met her know of her great ability to love. Carol was passionate about her beliefs and always advocated love and peace. Her life motto was “be the change you wish to see in the world.” Carol was devoted to her family and friends. She firmly believed that family is who you chose to welcome into your heart and home. Maintaining her belief in helping those in need, Carol’s family honored her wish and registered her as a United Tissue Donor. She is survived by her partner of 24 years, Jeanie Davis; mother Martha Henbest; brother Hubert Aaron and his wife Joan Aaron; children Melissa Woodrow (Bobbie Woodrow), Wm. Mason Goode (Amanda Goode), Christopher Goode (Kimberly Goode), Emily Lucas (Patrick Lucas), and Martha Goode, step-daughters Kelly Tennyson (Steve Tennyson) and Shannon Davis; and grandchildren Taylor D., Morgan, Sheriden, Breanna, Victoria, Avery, Taylor B., MacKenzie, Elijah, and Emma. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you commit an act of service or kindness in her honor. Donations may be made in her name to your favorite charity.
