Catherine Payne

Catherine Delettie Payne went with her Lord on March 1, 2012 following a short illness. She was the first of four daughters born to Lawrence and Emma Courtney Blehm at home in Kingfisher County, Oklahoma on April 8, 1930. Having lived in various cities in Texas and Oklahoma, she lived in Amarillo, TX for more than 40 years. She married the love of her life, Fred L. Payne, in New Mexico in 1971. He preceded her in death in 2004. Catherine was both a bookkeeper and a security guard through the years. She and Fred loved to travel to Las Vegas but one of her greatest joys was playing bridge with her many friends in Amarillo, TX. She was also a dear Grandma to several of her grandchildren whom she cared for in their youth. Catherine moved to Oklahoma City in 2008 to be nearer to her family. She is preceded in death by her husband; mother; father and step-mother Letha Blehm; son Jack Tramel; sisters Loretta Kanatzer and husband Robert, Wilma Jean Longhofer and husband Clarence Lee, and Merl Miser.
