Cecil, 82, was surrounded by family when he died on April 28, 2018. He was born in Holdenville, Oklahoma, to John C and Mary Tippin (both deceased). He attended college in Wilburton, then worked at pipeline construction (through IUOE 627) all over the United States, including Alaska. He also worked in Iran, where the Shah of Iran came to the jobsite. He dearly loved and was married to Evelyn for many years until her death. Later, he came to love Elizabeth and was married to her for 31 years, when they divorced. Cecil was extraordinarily popular, always having a quick wit and funny stories to share. He deeply loved his family and friends and one of his last requests for his memorial was, "I don't want people sobbing! I want my family to have a gathering and be happy with my memory." His family did this. Per his wishes, Cecil was cremated and no funeral will be held. He is survived by his siblings: Curtis Tippin (& Lou), Melba Tippin, and Phyllis Kunkle (& Ernie) - Nephews and nieces: Kent Tippin, Tracy Majors (& Mark), Kerri Carter, Kevin Carter, Kim Hansen, and Gerald Kunkle (& Ginger) and also by a number of other relatives and friends.
