Charles James Abercrombie was born to Forrest & Marguerite Abercrombie in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas, on May 3, 1937. He had one brother who preceded him in death. He was a retired business owner having owned and operated Abercrombie & Sons, Inc., a highway and bridge contractor in the state of Oklahoma. Charles is survived by: his spouse Gloria, his three children and their spouses: Dennis, Kelly and Tammy; two step-children: Kent and Michael Morris as well as his two furry friends: Katie and Andy both of whom he adored. Charles was a very intelligent individual who could perfectly build anything. He built homes, street rods, motorcycles, and he remodeled every home he and Gloria purchased. Everything he did was perfect, from every nut and bolt to the finished project. From the time he was 12 years of age he worked one or two jobs. Delivering newspapers for the Oklahoman and assisting in a local flower shop, cleaning and doing whatever was required of him. He attended John Marshall High School and Central State University, after which Charles went to work for Ford Motor Co. Some years later he joined the family business of Abercrombie & Sons, Inc. Charles retired in 2000 and he, gloria and their two pets spent time traveling in there motor coach. He also spent more time on his hobbies. He leaves a legacy of his building abilities. Charles was a big-hearted, compassionate gentleman and will be sorely missed. There is no service scheduled at this time.
