In Loving Memory of Cheryl Diane (Shari) Dixon.
Shari was freed from her earthly body to receive her new one in heaven on Sun. Dec. 11th, 2022 surrounded by her family and friends. Shari fought hard through her health battles with her deeply devoted husband and full-time care giver Robert (Bob) Dixon by her side the whole way.
Shari was born July 12, 1948 in Duluth MN. She was an amazing woman with a can-do attitude and fiercely funny sense of humor. She was always the first one to laugh at herself (for example after flinging food across the restaurant hitting someone in the head-LOL oops!.)
She was a wickedly smart, loving, encouraging, industrious, filled with grace and creatively gifted person as well as a wife, friend, mother and stepmother.
The family moved to Wisconsin in the early 70’s where she and Bob managed an apartment complex and drove school bus. Bob also had a full-time job and mom also made custom draperies, But she just couldn’t stop at drapes, no, not Shari, she then went on to make us all matching nightgowns, swimsuits and anything else she could think up.
She enjoyed the lake, fishing, board games and time spent with family and friends (think 4th of July with our extended family the Guadalupe family), reading horror novels and true crime stories as well as wood and shirt painting crafts.
After moving to Oklahoma in 1978 Shari worked at some bad-ass jobs that some men wouldn’t do, including but not limited to: land surveying, Commercial Painter, Welding, etc that came with their own special gifts including but not limited to being chased by a bull, chiggars and welders burns. Yikes
After Shari started at GM she went back to school and got a 4.0 in heating and air, receiving her journeyman license and working in that position until she retired.
Shari loved people and made friends easily. She enjoyed these relationships with her co-workers, groups, friends and new online friends she met while doing web marketing.
A special friend and blessing to her has been Caril Guilliams. She was her soul sister and they enjoyed taking classes, attending plays and time just spent together being silly.
Shari was preceded to heaven by her son Brett, Her Mother Lily, Father Vernon (Bud) and sister Patricia (Patty).
Shari is survived by her husband Bob Dixon, daughter Tammy and husband Alex Sais, Her daughter Tracie and husband Rex Chapman, her step daughter Robin and son Max, Grandchildren Katie and Brady Patterson, Sister Jaye Gandy and her daughter Jacklyn Archer and Niece Crystal White.
Shari is deeply loved and will be deeply missed until we see her again!
