Clifton was raised on a dairy farm in Arnett, OK. Clifton graduated and was drafted into the United States Army at the age of 19. He proudly served for two years, one year which was with the 25th Infantry Division, 4th Battalion 9th Infantry, Manchu's Bravo Company, during the Vietnam War. He received numerous medals such as the: Combat Infantryman Badge, Air Medals, Bronze Star, Vietnam Service Medal and others. When he returned home he married his beloved Connie. There union lasted for 46 years, until her death. He leaves behind his brother Gary Collar (Joyce), his sister Loydetta Collar, brother-in-law Morris Porter. He leaves in mourning: his daughter Karen Hood Craigmile (Pete), grandsons Michael Tolle (Kristina), Jeff Barnett (Valerie), Ty Barnett, Bryce Hood (Katie), Kale Hood, Zackary Hood, Jake Craigmile (Krista), Brenden Craigmile, Zach Craigmile; Great-Grandchildren Tyler Tolle (Melody), Ashley Tolle, Breanna Tolle, Justyce Barnett, Taylor Barnett, Rie Branson, Nolyn Branson; great-great-grandson Corbyn Tolle, and his Manchu family. Preceded in death by: his wife Connie Collar, daughter Christine Petty, father Loyd Collar, mother Izetta Collar, and sister Glennis Porter. Clifton enjoyed being a blessing to others and attending his Vietnam Yearly Reunion as well as many other Veteran related events. He loved golfing, hunting, fishing, traveling visiting casinos and his guns.
