Craig Allen Addison passed away June 2, 2013. He was born February 19, 1958 in Massena, New York to C.A. and Phyllis Addison. He lived his entire life in Oklahoma City and graduated from Northwest Classen High School in 1976. Craig met the love of his life, Diana, shortly after high school. They were married in 1978 and celebrated their 35th anniversary on January 27th, 2013. They have two children, Jessica Gard, 31 and Ryan Addison, 29. Craig and Diana renewed their wedding vows on a special trip to Jamaica in 2005. This was Diana’s first plane ride and with Craig by her side she was totally calm and felt very safe. This trip will always be a beautiful memory for Diana. Craig’s greatest pleasure came from spending time with his family fishing and hunting. The only activity that topped this was playing with his grandson, Caden Gard. Craig was well known for the deer jerky he would make and share with everyone, especially with his co-workers at Loves Travel Stops where he worked for several years as a dispatcher in the fuel division. There was less than one month notice of a pancreatic cancer diagnosis and his actual passing. We are still in disbelief and heartbroken. Craig is survived by: his mother, Phyllis Addison; wife, Diana, daughter Jessica Gard her husband Toby, and their son Caden; son Ryan Addison; sister Cindy and her husband Mark Haikin; sister Kaye and her husband Joe Candella; brothers, Chris Addison and Kevin Addison; niece Kelly, her husband LukE Hadsall, and sons Oliver and Simon; niece Kim and daughters, Mikayla, Alayna, and Krysta; niece Chance Addison and daughter Kylee; niece Chenoa Addison; niece Stephini, her husband Tim Ortner, and daughters Sophie and Charlotte; nephew Nicholas Candella; niece Anna Candella; and last but not least his loving dog Gin-Gin who would lay on his chest, put her head under his chin, and lick his face until they would both fall asleep. Craig was preceded in death by his dad C.A. Addison, grandparents Cecil and Mabel Addison and grandparents Lester and Helen Henry. A private memorial will be held by the family. We will cherish any memories you have of our dear Craig and are willing to share with us. Please post them here, on his memorial page.
