David Crum passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a 20 year battle with dementia. Even though he had lost his ability to communicate and his mobility he always maintained his amazing sense of humor and good nature until the end of his life. David was born to Cristy Crum and Delia Warner Crum. He grew up on a small farm his grandparents acquired during the land run. David served active duty in the Army during the Korean Conflict. David married Beverly Hart on February 19, 1953. They had 2 children, Michael and Roxanne. David worked at Fleming Food for 44 years Preceded in death by his parents, sister Majel Miller, and daughter-in-law Loretta Hawkins Crum; David is survived by his wife and children, his son-in-law Bill McKnight, his grandchildren David McKnight and wife Katie, Daniel McKnight and wife Chelsey, Lisa Crum, and great-granddaughter Mackenzie Jane McKnight. We were blessed to have such a loving husband, father and grandfather. We will miss him profoundly. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, January 22 at Crown Heights United Methodist Church, 1021 NW 37th Street.
