David Wendell Lee

July 18, 1940 — March 8, 2014

David W. Lee passed away at his home in Edmond on March 8, 2014 at the age of 73. He was born in Guthrie, OK on July 18, 1940 to O. Bruce and Aldine Lee. He is a retired Cryptologist from the US Navy, a lifetime member of VFW, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, US Navy Cryptologist Veterans Group. He liked to fish, travel, read and play card games. David is preceded in death by his parents; Bruce and Aldine Lee, his sister; Mrs. Willa Dawn Uselton and brothers; Bruce Lee Jr. and Timothy Lee. He is survived by his wife Debra of Edmond, two sons; Bruce D. Lee of Corpus Christi, TX and Dru C. Lee of Edmond, sister; Sheila Sauer of Wichita Falls, TX, daughter-in-law; Shanna Lee, brother-in-law Frank Uselton and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A military memorial service will be held at a later date. David made the generous gift of donating his body to science for medical research, innovation and education through United Tissue Network, a non-profit medical technology and education focused entity. UTN's mission is to empower people who want to make a difference through whole-body donation by uniting them with professionals dedicated to the advancement of medical technology, training and education.
