David R. Yockel Sr.

David R. Yockel, Sr. – 72, of Oklahoma City, OK, formerly of Hilton, NY passed peacefully Monday, June 8, 2020. David was born December 22, 1947 in Rochester, NY to the late Donald and Marilyn Yockel. He served 26 years in the Navy and went on to be a Federal Police Officer. His greatest joy was his sons and grandchildren. David was the beloved husband of Susan (Stevens) Yockel. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Susan Yockel; children, David R. Yockel, Jr. and his wife Paula and Chad Yockel and his wife Lisa; grandchildren, Brenden and his wife Mallory, Taylor Lansdon and her husband Spencer, Megan, Ryan, Cole and Travis; great-granchild Mackenzie; he was a brother of Linda Kinnard, Jean Schofield, Sharon Schickler, Gary, Doug, Tom, RJ, Bill and Tim; long-time family friend Ed McKee. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 13th at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Corbett Funeral and Cremation, 807 W Wilshire Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. US Navy honors will be rendered as part of the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Salvation Army of Rochester, 70 Liberty Pole Way, Rochester, NY 14604.
