Dollie Valenzuela Shoun began her heavenly journey on February 24, 2013. She was born in Los Lunas, New Mexico to Senobio and Susanita Valenzuela. Dollie resided in New Mexico until she married O.V. (Buddy) Shoun and moved to Oklahoma City. They enjoyed lots of family gatherings during their 35 year marriage. She was active in St. Patrick, St. Charles, and Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Churches. She was always sharing her beautiful voice whether in the choir or the front pew. Her passions, other than her family, were a potpourri of arts and crafts, making her scrumptious enchilada and beans, playing bingo, and going to the casino. She will always be remembered by her love of life and the way she motivated everyone with her exciting personality. Dollie held several Federal jobs and eventually retired from FAA. She returned to New Mexico to be closer to family, lived in Alaska for a short time, and eventually returned to Oklahoma where she lived her last few years with the wonderful staff and assistance at Heritage Assisted Living. Her granddaughter, April, often brightened their days by joining in their games and singing. Through the years, Dollie extended her family and benefited from the love and care of Lisa and Don Schnorrenberg, Dave and Delilah Sanchez, and Laura Smith.
