Donald Dean Elledge, 87, of Norman, OK passed away due to renal failure on November 11, 2021. He began his adult life joining the Air Force National Guards for 3 years and ended his military career in California working for Boeing. After which, he decided to start his own business and bought a service station and continued moving from state to state opening new stations. On the side, he got his real estate brokers license and started buying and selling ranches in many states. Life was always an adventure full of various livestock and lots of moves. Don Elledge was a family man. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed having many exciting family game nights playing dominoes, bridge, poker and other games. These were very competitive. He always looked forward to spending Christmas with his family and hosting the dirty Santa exchange. Ice Cream was a weakness, he struggled for many years and even against doctors’ orders, he could not resist. He was also a great cook and always made sure his employee’s and family ate well. Don was much respected and loved by many of his friends and employees; he taught many good work habits and life skills. Don loved to hunt and fish with his family and friends. Most of his vacations in his life were centered around hunting, fishing, camping, and enjoying the great outdoors. At the end of his life, he would always tell us stories about the biggest elk, the biggest fish, and all the stories around his adventures. Don is survived by his children, Don Allen Elledge and wife Nancy Elledge, Teresa Ann Johnson and husband Monte Johnson, and Roy Dean Elledge and wife Tammy Elledge; sister Pat Avants, brother Mike Elledge, ten grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
