On May 9, 1954 “Mother’s Day Baby” was born to Amanda L. Hill. The late Rev Albert A. Wallace her grandfather named Dorcine. She was the oldest of 5 children. Her son Marcus Dwayne Hooks and grandmother Ethel Norman Wallace preceded her in death.
Dorcine accepted Christ at an early age. United with Old Agency Baptist Church where her grandfather was Pastor and baptized her. After his death the family united with Antioch Baptist Church, under the direction of Rev. B.W. Noble. She years later united with Praise Center Family Church, where she was a faithful member until death.
Dorcine attended Muskogee Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1972. She also attended the Indian Capital Vo-Tech and Connors State College. She was employed by the Muskogee County Treasure Office for 15 years and later by Muskogee Regional Medical Center for 10 years.
