Doris Jean Brewer- Burrell was called home in the early morning hours on Tuesday October 30, 2012. Doris was born on October 8, 1947 to Buster L. & Ella Mae Brewer in Rosedale, OK. She graduated from Northeast High School. On January 24, 1964 she was united in marriage with R.C. Smith and to this union three children were born Terrance, Shaunte, and Yance Smith. As a young woman Doris tried her hand at many different career avenues. She even owned her own boutique called “ A Touch of Class”. Shortly after opening her business she met the love of her life which later, on July 3, 1989 became her husband. Later Doris settled in , in her career as an Adminstrator in the payroll dept. at Warr Acres Assisted Living Center. She worked there for several years before retiring in early 2011. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping for antiques, spending time with family, and cooking. Doris was loved and highly respected by not only her family but just about anyone she came in contact with. She taught so many of us the true meaning of “FAMILY” and for that she will be greatly missed. She was proceeded in death by her mother Ella Mae Brewer. She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband Kenneth Burrell, father Buster L. Brewer, four sisters Carole Summers, Annette “Don” Moore, Nanneusha “David” Young, & Yvonne Brown, three brothers Rodney “Amanda” Brewer, David “ Tabitha” Brewer, & William “ Angie” Burrell, three daughters Shaunte Smith, Tajuana Burrell, & Renee Burrell, three sons Terrance “Grishana” Smith, Yance “Mesha” Smith, & Daryl “Rosalva” Harris, eight grand-daughters Momina, Kashley, Christina, Dacia, Yanesha, Myesha, Deonia, & Jersey, four grandsons Democco, Antonio, Jaden, Tijuan, & Tyran, and three great- grandchildren D’ Korrion, Shakira, & Milani, and host of relatives and friends.
