Doris Hayes

Doris ended her journey peacefully at her daughter’s home, surrounded by family following a battle with tongue, breast and lung cancer. Born in Kingfisher, OK to Zelma& Everett Copeland, Doris was a retired homemaker and genuine animal lover, especially penguins. She loved hugs and making new friends. She carried a positive attitude up until the very end and had a very special bond with her family. Doris is survived by her loving husband of 48 years Gene Hayes, best friend / daughter Thelma Hernandez-Smith and husband Mark, granddaughter Melanie, grandson Jeffrey and family, son Raymond Copeland and family, sister-in-law Sandra Hughes, plus a host of other family members and friends. Viewing will be held Monday, February 4, 2013 at Corbett Funeral Service. Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Resurrection Free Methodist Church.
