Edrea LaDeanne Carter was born February 10, 1940 in Shawnee, OK to Grace Emoline and George Edgar Brooks. She went to be with our Lord and Savior on September 21, 2012 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 72 yrs, 7 mo. and 11 days. LaDeanne's Family moved from her birth place of Shawnee to Stigler, OK in 1950 when she was age 10. Her family resided in Stigler through her high school years. LaDeanne remained in Stigler and met her soul mate Kermit Carter in 1960 when she was age 20. The two joined in marriage almost one year later. They established residence in Panhandle, TX after being married. LaDeanne went on to reside in the following cities - Panhandle, TX - Stigler, OK - Elk City, OK - Cordell, OK - Sayre, OK - Pauls Valley, OK - Kaw City, OK and OKC , OK in no specific order. LaDeanne and Kermit belonged to Baptist Church's throughout their lives with their letter of membership being held at Quail Springs Baptist Church at the time of LaDeanne's death. LaDeanne and Kermit were married for almost 52 years. LaDeanne had many loves and passions including theater, travel, designs & crafts and Gospel music. None of these however, compared to the love and passion she had for family and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister Pauline. She is survived by her husband, Kermit of the home, 1 son Kerry Carter of Henderson, TX, 1 daughter and son-in-law LaTressa and Brian Black of Oklahoma City, OK, 4 grandsons, Kaden Carter, Parker Black, Adam Carter and Peyton Black, 3 sisters, Wanda of Midwest City, OK, Dorine of Owasso, OK, Arrietta of Ardmore, OK, 1 brother, Edgar of Prescott, AZ, and a host of other relatives and friends.
