Born to Ivan Daisy Ashby, he passed away after a brief illness at the age of 90. He grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma and graduated from his prized Alma Mater Oklahoma A&M. He was a pilot and loved flying, he was in the Navy and Air Force and everyone called him “Colonel”. His parents had the famous Ashby House Moving. Many were touched by his amazing stories. He served in the Vietnam War and helped oversee the airlift out of Saigon. His first family was his wife Elaine Schweer Ashby, with whom he had 3 children, Henry Edward Ashby, deceased, Clement Ivan Ashby, and Alyssa Lee Ashby. His second family, Anh Ashby and her children, Ngnuyen Do and Leslie Ngnuyen. His grandchildren, Eddy Ashby, Heath Ashby, Clinton Ashby, Valory Ashby and Gregory “Grant” Franklin. Anh’s grandchildren Cindy Do, Lena Do, and Jenny Do. He is preceded in death by his two brothers Charlie Ashby and Harold Dean Ashby.
