Eliot Lewis Hodges, 61, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, went to Heaven on November 23, 2019. He was born March 11, 1958 in West Memphis, Arkansas to Eldon and Patricia Hodges. In 1976 he graduated from North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. That same year his family moved to Norman, Oklahoma. He married Jamelle Shelby on December 27, 1985. In 1992 he joined his father in the family car wash business. In 1997 his family moved to Newcastle, Oklahoma. In 2008 he moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and went to work for International Environmental Corporation. Eliot truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures of chatting and joking with friends and family. He enjoyed golfing, watching football, fishing and, most of all, spending time with his family. Eliot was preceded in death by his father Eldon Hodges. He is survived by his wife Jamelle Hodges; his daughter Lauren Menchaca; his son Erik Hodges of Oxford, Mississippi; grandson Joaquin Menchaca; mother Patricia Hodges of Norman, Oklahoma; sister Ruth Jackson of Norman, Oklahoma; 3 nieces, 1 nephew, and many cousins. Eliot loved his family very much and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 555 S. University Blvd., Norman, Oklahoma at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 30.
