Rev. Elza F. Boldman, 78, of Oklahoma City, went to be with his Lord on September 28, 2017. He was born September 11, 1939 in Adams County, Ohio to George Boldman and Ethie (Puckett) Boldman. He graduated from Fairfield High School in Leesburg, Ohio in 1957. Elza graduated from Malone College in Canton Ohio in 1961 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion. He graduated from Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri in 1964 with a Masters of Divinity degree. Elza faithfully served his Lord as a Pastor, Conference Superintendent and Chaplain. He began his service at the Gaston Church of the Nazarene in Gaston, Indiana in June of 1964. He continued to serve as a Pastor in the Free Methodist Church at various locations in Oklahoma, including Stillwater, Midwest City and Oklahoma City. He served as Conference Superintendent of the Oklahoma Conference of the Free Methodist Church from 1973 to 1990. Elza returned to the pastorate for six years before serving as Spiritual Care Coordinator for Integris Hospice of Oklahoma County for 14 years. Elza retired in January of 2010 after 45 years of ministry. In July 1960, Elza married Edith M. Donnelly. Elza and Edith had three children, Bradley L. Boldman, Kevin S. Boldman and Shelly R. Boldman (Stierlen). In March 2003, Elza married Janet L. Galloway. Elza was preceded in death by his father and mother and two brothers, Dean Boldman and Paul Boldman. He is survived by his wife Jan, son Bradley and wife Frances, son Kevin and wife Teresa and daughter Shelly and husband Loyal. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Scott M. Boldman, Chase A. Boldman, Collin A. Boldman and Noah S. Miller. Viewing will be Thursday October 5th at Corbett Funeral & Cremation in Oklahoma City from 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm, with family present from 6:00 – 8:00. The family is requesting that friends and family join them at that time to share stories and precious memories of Elza. Graveside service will be Friday October 6th at 11:00 am at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
