Elzy Delana Mowdy

Elzy Delana Mowdy was born Dec. 26, 1927, in Mena, Arkansas. He is predeceased by his parents, Ruby and Delana Mowdy, and his wife of almost 60 years, Jo Ann Selken Mowdy. Elzy served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. His almost 50 year career in the insurance industry was spent primarily at Standard Life and Accident Insurance Company in Oklahoma City. Elzy was a member of Gideons International and Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. He and Jo Ann resided in Yukon, and they were long-time members of Metropolitan Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. He leaves behind his daughters Carol Bond, and Dana Spencer and her husband Michael; and his grandchildren Melissa Fields and husband Eric; David Bond and wife Marsha; Lauren White and husband John. He also leaves behind ten great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life 3:00 P.M.
