Emma Rose - Gilbert

Emma Rose-Gilbert of Oklahoma City, passed away at the age of 62 on September 7, 2012 at the Integris Hospice House. She was born in Glendale, CA September 19, 1949 to James W. Rose and Beverly M. Pedersen. She worked as an accountant, with finance, and computer operations. She enjoyed interior design/ decoration, traveling, cooking and entertaining, reading, sewing, and bargain hunting for good buys for her home. She was preceded in death by her father; James W. Rose in 1986, her mother; Beverly M. Rose in 2003 and her brother; John G. Rose in 2005. She is survived by her husband; Benny Gilbert of OKC, son; Michael D. Catania and spouse Cherise Wheelock of San Diego, CA, brother; James and wife Beryl Rose of Upland, CA, sister; Diane and husband Mike Bird of Corona, CA and one Grandchild; Kona B. Catania. Her ashes will be spread at sea, per Emma’s wish/instruction at a later date. She will be having a celebration of life service at Corbett Funeral Service (807 W. Wilshire Blvd. OKC), on Friday, September 14th at 1:00pm.
