Erma Gene Brewer

Erma Gene Brewer was born to Everett Raymond Marsh and Eula Veva Marsh, nee Howe on November 22, 1928, in Walters, Oklahoma. She moved to Oklahoma City at an early age, completed business college and soon went to work in the oil business for Ramsey Engineering, a premier oil and gas engineering firm and later worked as a professional for Grace Petroleum Company and Brewer Property Management Company, Inc. She also worked in Real Estate. Gene was always on the go. From the time she hit Oklahoma City, she was pouring over house plans to build a new house in Edmond. Before long, she had built her house, to her specifications, and in the place she wanted it. She immediately built a bon fire in the fireplace and celebrated her new home that night with her boys, the first night of many to come. She would live there and hold the fort down as her family’s home base for the next 55 years. Gene was a liver-of-life who loved her family and church. She was always full of surprises and was likely to show up as a witch on Halloween or as Santa on Christmas and never missed a chance to have some fun. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother who always tried to do the best for her family. She is survived by Keith Brewer and Lisa Brewer, her son and daughter in law, Roger Brewer and Karen Brewer, her son and daughter in law, her Grandchildren, Ryan Brewer and Michelle Galate, Trent and Munira Brewer, Eric and Emily Brewer, Clay Brewer, Michael Brewer and Cory Brewer, her Great Grandchildren, Dane Brewer, Margo Brewer and Anna Kate Brewer, her Cousin, Gina Sloniker and husband Mike, her Uncle Stuart Marsh and her Sister-In-Law, Jo Marsh. A service will be held on Wednesday, October 28 at 2:00 pm, at First Presbyterian Church in Edmond. The church is located at 1001 S. Rankin St, Edmond, OK 73034.
