Funeral Service Saturday, February 23rd, 2019 - 10:00 AM Corbett Funeral & Cremation - Oklahoma City 807 W Wilshire Blvd - Oklahoma City, OK - 73116 Ethelee Bess Shubin October 12, 1923-February 18 2019 Born in 1923 to Richard and Minnie Hartley in Pine Bluff Arkansas and moved to California as a small girl. On September 14, 1941 she married Harry Shubin, and through that union they had six children. John and (Nancy) of Colorado Springs, Carolyn Orender (Joe) from Iowa Park Texas, Laura Blazer from Vancouver, Washington, Brian (Vickey) from Norman, Oklahoma and Mike (Barbara) from Choctaw, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry, her mother and father, son Philip, five brothers and one sister. Bess is now home with her lord and savior for all eternity. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother who always put the needs of her family before her own. All of her family witnessed the example she set on how to love and treat each other and now that lives on in each of us. It would be difficult for anyone to have left her house hungry or thirsty ever! I’ll always cherish the the little things like the smell of her homemade bread baking in the oven.
