Eva Marsh (Thompson) was born on March, 14, 1928 to Newton Thompson and Anna Chair Thompson in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and gained her angel wings in August 13, 2021 in Hennessey, Oklahoma. Eva was a woman of principal and courage and always stood firm for what she believed in. It is from her that her family learned to stay strong. But she was much more than a strong figure, she was a woman full of love and laughter who loved spending time with her family and friends. When she wasn’t shopping, she was either playing dominos or cards (she had a mean pitch). As we remember her our heads will with her favorite gospel hymns and the sound of her humming the words. Eva was proceeded in death by her husband, Clayton “White” Marsh of Ft. Gibson, 5 siblings, Jessie, Johnny, Mayme, Moon and Betty, 2 children, son Junior and daughter Arlene and a granddaughter Rachel. She was survived by her daughters, Judith Carter and son in law Charles Carter of Cashion, Oklahoma, Mary Beth McDowell of Spring, Texas, son Frank Cline of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. While our family stands deeply grieved by the loss of one of the pillars in our family, we are also thankful for the opportunity God gave us to have someone as remarkable as her in our lives. We may have lost her physically, but we firmly believe, as did she, that someday our Grand Maker will reunite us again. As we eagerly await for that day, we keep her in our minds and hearts where her memory will live.
