Francis Tarpley

            FRANCIS M. (FRANK) TARPLEY, 82, was born November 30, 1927 in Porum, Oklahoma and died peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on February 3, 2010 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He attended grade school through eleventh grade in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and then graduated from Roosevelt High School in Fresno, California.  He joined the Merchant Marine and was in the South Pacific during 1945. Thereafter, he was briefly in the Navy V-5 program at the University of South Carolina. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in accounting in 1951 and subsequently became a CPA. During the Korean War, he was a 2nd lieutenant with the Air Force Auditor General serving in Tokyo, Japan where he met his lovely bride to be, a colonel's daughter, Nancy B. Lee.  She preceded his return to the U.S.A., where they were married five months after his return from Japan.
