Harpist, musician, and teacher of Oklahoma City, died December 21, born December 30, 1928 in Omaha, Nebraska to Dr. Francis and Ruth Duffy of Enid Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by father, mother, brother (Fr. Tom Duffy), and husband (Warren Winkenbach). A graduate of Mt. Carmel Academy in Wichita, Kansas ’46, St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana ’50, and a MS degree from L.I.U. New York ’74. She also studied harp in Camden Main, and with Carlos Salzedo in New York City. She also played with the Angelairs on tour & CBS radio ’53-55, Duke Ellington Band ’55, Pierre hotel solo harpist ’55, TV commercials for Helene Curtis ’57, Arthur Godfrey TV show ’58, Tri City Opera, Binghamton, NY. Married Warren Winkenbach, October ’58, lived on Long Island, NY. Made two record recordings, one a “Christmas Collage” which was donated to hospitals, and a second recording called “Reminiscing” with Harp and Bass. She leaves behind two children: Daughter, Mary Ruth Moore, & husband Gary, Grandchildren, Kathryn and Christina Moore, of Frisco, Texas. Son, Peter John Winkenbach & wife Miki, Grandchildren, Jordan, Shana, and Danica , of Naperville, Illinois. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 17th at 10:00am at Christ the King Catholic Church in Oklahoma City. She will be at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, in Oklahoma City.
