George Sherman Robinson George Robinson, 93, of Oklahoma City was called home by his Savior on March 20, 2020 at Epworth Villa. Born on November 21, 1926 in Fond du Lac, WI, he was the son of George W. and Ursula (Meinert) Robinson of Plymouth, WI. Following service in the Army he received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics at Ripon College, graduated from the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking, and continued his education at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. George`s early business career was spent with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in the insurance credit management field, then later in banking at the First National Bank of Chicago and First Tennessee Bank as senior vice-president and general manager of operations and information technology. On October 22, 1948 George married his childhood sweetheart, Waldine (Blanke) of Plymouth, WI. They were members of the Methodist Church and were very active in volunteer work, including formation of the Habitat for Humanity Chapter for Greater Memphis, Helping Hands, Birthright, Stephens’s Ministry, and prison ministry. George was a long-term care ombudsman for many years, but his favorite challenge was in financial counseling. His loving wife preceded him in death in 2012. Also preceding him in death were his two sisters, Myrtle (Taylor) of Seattle and Rose (Mortimer) of Wisconsin Rapids, and granddaughter Jennifer Michelini. Survivors include his son George William (Bill) of Naperville, IL, daughter Barbara Ann and son-in-law John Michelini also of Naperville and his son Brian Walter and daughter-in-law Cynthia of Edmond, OK. Additional survivors include brother-in-law and sister-in-law Henry and Janet Blanke of Plymouth, WI along with 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Memorial services to be determined.
