Sill National Cemetery 2648 NE Jake Dunn Road - Elgin, OK - 73538 Our brother was born in Oklahoma City to Harold Perry Soward and Creela Oelke Gentry. He graduated from US Grant High School and married Kim Goodfellow who predeceased him. He served his country in the Navy from 1979 through 1990, was honorably discharged and returned home to friends and family where he worked as a welder and machinist. In addition to his wife he is predeceased by his mother in 2009 and, in 1995, both his father and sister, Phyllis Soward Watson. He is survived by his step-mother Leona Soward and step-brother and sister Clayton and Diana Soward of San Diego, CA.. His step-sons are Shane and Jason Goodfellow. Survived by sister Bonnie Moates and husband DeWayne, sister Mary Gentry, sister Annette Williams and husband Alan, and brother David Gentry and wife Patricia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Oklahoma and Minnesota. He is also survived by best friend Bobby Mowles and wife Robbie. He was known to friends as “Duck” and to others as “Howard.” He owned Harley Davidsons and enjoyed repairing them and riding. Viewing will be Tuesday morning, February 16, 2016 between 9:00 am to 11:00 at Corbett Funeral & Cremation, 807 W Wilshire Blvd. Burial will be at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm. A memorial service is pending.
