Memorial Service with Marine Corps Funeral Honors Saturday, February 27th, 2016 - 01:00 PM - Castle Falls Grand Hall 820 N MacArthur Blvd - Oklahoma City, OK - 73127 Herman Robert “H.R.” Aguirre 82, of Bethany passed peacefully February 23, 2016 in Oklahoma City, OK. Herman was born February 15, 1934 in Holdenville, OK. Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Valentine Aguirre; his first wife Raylene Vandyne; his second wife Donna Glaze; and Brothers Roque, Tommy and Harvey. He was one of 10 children and is survived by his sisters Francis Greenhaw, Delores Chisum, brothers Edward, Lloyd, Benjamin, and Donald. Herman is survived by three step-sons Mark Bennett, Oklahoma City, OK, Matt Blackwood Wewoka, OK, and Scott Blackwood El Reno, OK from his marriage to Raylene Vandyne. He is survived by his daughter Jaconna from his marriage to Donna Glaze, stepson F.L. Glaze and step-grandson Garrett Glaze. Herman graduated from Holdenville High school and enlisted in the United States Marines Corps in 1952. He was a Korean War Veteran and Marine Corps Reservist until being honorably discharged in 1960. Herman worked at Western Electric in Oklahoma City where he met his second wife Donna Lou Glaze and they were married on November 28, 1978. Herman retired in 1992 to travel with Donna. He loved fishing, camping, reading, working crossword puzzles and crypt a quotes. Donna encouraged him to start taking square dancing lesson in 2000. Herman said on many occasions that “Square Dancing gave him a new lease on life!”
