Jackie Lane

Jackie Mae Lane, of Okeechobee passed away August 18, 2012 at the Hamrick Home in Okeechobee. Mrs. Lane was born November 11, 1929, in Anadarko, Oklahoma to the late Andrew and Nola Mae. She was married to her late husband, Billie J. Lane on February 14, 1974. While living in Edmond, Oklahoma she worked with her husband and together they operated their family business, B&J Refrigeration. She moved to Okeechobee in 1999 from Edmond. She attended services at The Gathering and in her past time she loved to cook and sew. Mrs. Lane is survived by her daughters, Cindy Reed (Rush), Tina Struck (Monte), Jill Wanless (Ted); a son, David Smith; 10 Grandchildren; and 12 Great Grandchildren. A service will be held Monday, August 20, 2012, 3pm in the chapel of the Buxton Funeral Home, 110 NE 5th Street, Okeechobee, FL with Josh Wanless, grandson, officiating. Mrs. Lane will be laid to rest at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 23, 2012 beside her husband at Rose Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK.
