James Andrew Bertrem born July 1, 1931 in St Joseph, MO, died July 17, 2009, Edmond, OK. James Bertrem was preceded in death by his Father, Lee Edward Bertrem & Mother, Hazel Williams Bertrem, brothers; Lee Edward Bertrem, Jr , Floyd Russell, sister; Ruby, half brothers; Alvin Wright & Chester Wright and sister-in-law; Evelyn Bertrem. James Bertrem is survived by wife Norma Lee Bertrem of 48 yrs & adult children; Scot Andrew Bertrem & wife Linda, Edmond, Teresa Lee Yarnell & husband Craig, Edmond, Ann Marie Cohen, Edmond, James Andrew Bertrem, Jr (Andy) & wife Angelica, Calif. James also had 9 grandchildren; Grant, Trent, Logan, Marissa, Felicita, Sirena, Casey, Ronnie & wife Cindy; 3 great-grandchildren; Allyssae, Kaylea, & Breanna. Also brother Bradley E. Bertrem & wife Sue, Tulsa, Sister-in law Dana Bertrem, Sister-in-law Nancy Backman & husband Aron, Webb city, OK., nieces & nephews. James Bertrem moved to Tulsa, OK at age 10, attended Lowell Jr High School, Tulsa & graduated Tulsa Central HS 1949. James served in the Army 1952-54 stateside during the Korean War. He worked for Ben F. Kelley Machine Shop for 8 yrs, & Earle M. Jargensen Steel Co 1955-1993 worked various positions but mostly sales in Tulsa & Edmond, OK & Cleveland, OH. Where he won the 1 million dollar sales hustle club 10 yrs. James & Norma Lee Domeny met in 1960 at Continental Skating Rink, Tulsa. They married Sept. 11, 1960, in the 1st Baptist Church Chapel, Ponca City, OK. They lived in Denver, Co, OKC, Lubbock, TX, Tulsa, OK, Cleveland, OH, Edmond, & Tulsa James was involved in civic organizations: 1956 Tulsa Auxiliary Police Officer, 1971-2009 Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, & Shrine/India Temple, Tulsa, Adair, & OKC. In 1994 after retiring James drove a van to Childrens hospital, Shreveport, LA & in 2000 volunteered for Meals on Wheels for Edmond Hospital. The family of James Bertrem would like to express their deepest thanks to Dr. Matthew Britt & the Hospice of Oklahoma County, nurse Vanessa & aid Brandi.
