James T Coulson, 85, of Bethany, OK passed away July 2, 2013. A native of Tulsa, OK, Mr. Coulson was the son of the late Herbert Millard Coulson and Elma Verona Brunk Coulson. He was preceded in death by his brothers Herbert Murray Coulson, Jack Leonard Coulson and William Robert Coulson. He graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1946. He attended Oklahoma State University. He worked on the ground crew for Continental Airlines in Tulsa. He married Kathryn Chapman from Corinth, ME in 1949. Mr. Coulson lived in Oklahoma City and worked for Sinclair Oil Company as a Landman from 1950 to 1968. He developed his own oil and gas land services company upon leaving Sinclair. He resided in Denver, CO from 1968 until 1988 at which time he moved to Bethany. Over the years Mr. Coulson enjoyed raising hunting dogs, quail hunting, coaching little league baseball, building and flying remote control model airplanes. He was a member of Council Road Baptist Church. Mr. Coulson is survived by his wife Peggy, children Deborah Coulson Crowe (Tim) of Bogart, GA, James T Coulson, Jr (Linda) of Highlands Ranch, CO, Carla Coulson Stewart (David) of Tulsa, OK, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, 3 nieces, 2 nephews, and many friends and neighbors he was blessed to know. The family would like to extend a thank you to Care Plus Home Care and the caregivers that devotedly cared for him. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 21 at Council Road Baptist Church in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Council Road Baptist Church, 2900 North Council Road, Bethany, OK 73008.
